Established in 1855, Osage County is one of the original 36 counties of Kansas. It is named after the Osage River which flows through the county. The county seat is Lyndon, Kansas.

- Wells P. Bailey House in Lyndon, Kansas...Built in 1870 this historic log cabin was originally on land that had once been a Sac & Fox Indian Village. Originally located 1-1/2 miles east of Lyndon, Kansas it was moved the the Lyndon City Park in 1997 and is open to the public.
- Gilday White Eagle Gas Station in Osage City, Kansas...Built in 1928 this restored gas station is an excellent example of a small canopy style gasoline station that was popular in the 1920's
